Soldier Story在深入参考原型的基础上，按比例精细还原了人偶形象，选用了1/6可动素体，全身配备超过38个可动关节，能够精准再现多样化的作战姿态。特别配备了一个高度还原的中国人民解放军军人头雕，在头部装备方面，精心搭配了GK80型钢盔（金属材质）与解放军85制式帽（附带帽徽章）。
服饰方面，更是严格参照原型进行打造，还原了经典的81式大5叶双面迷彩上衣，双面迷彩上衣可以内外两面穿着，分别用树林色和枯叶色区分；同时搭配蓝色背心和运动服。此外，还配备了85制式裤、65式绑腿、矮筒胶鞋和腰带等细节配饰，让整体形象更加完整、生动。
战术装备中尤为瞩目的当属：多用途六九式火箭筒背心与81式胸挂，都是按照精准比例全新制作。多用途六九式火箭筒背心专为人偶设计，能够巧妙搭载69式火箭推进器、69式85毫米火箭等关键配件；而81式胸挂，则严格参照原型进行还原，可放置多个弹夹和手榴弹等战术装备。
在人偶武器装备配件上，精心全新开模制作了69式四零火箭筒、81-1式自动步槍和65式侦察匕首；尤为值得一提的是，69式四零火箭筒还额外配备了火箭筒发射透明柱效果件，并搭配火箭筒翅膀组合配件，可再现发射时的震撼场景，火箭上的保险环也做出了可拔的功能。此次推出的81-1式自动步槍，在部分关键零件上创新性地采用了金属材质，更在尾托设计上实现了全新的可折叠功能。
随人偶配有丰富多样的配件：头盔内胆、头盔带、头盔网、咖啡色和绿色的伪装线绳 、香烟、香烟包、钢笔、761压缩干粮、65式水壶（金属制）、67式四仓手榴弹袋、一把解放军铲 （木及合金制）、一对白色手套还有一个对越自卫反击69式火箭筒专属人偶地台等。

The Sino-Vietnamese Border Counterattack, in a narrow sense, refers to the intense combat that erupted between China and Vietnam along their border from February 17 to March 16, 1979; in a broad sense, it refers to the nearly decade-long Sino-Vietnamese border military conflicts from 1979 to 1989. The Sino-Vietnamese border self-defense counterattack operations, which began on February 17, 1979, went through the first, second, and third stages of combat, as well as battles at Koulin Mountain, Fakashan, Laoshan, Zhenyi Mountain, and Balidaoshan, lasting nearly ten years and costing the lives of tens of thousands of Chinese young people. Their bodies fell, but their spirit lives on.
Soldier Story, based on in-depth reference to the prototype, has meticulously restored the figure in proportion, using the 1/6 scale action body with more than 38 movable joints, capable of accurately reproducing a variety of combat poses. It comes with a highly realistic PLA soldier head sculpt, and for the headgear, it meticulously matches the GK80 steel helmet (metal material) with the PLA Type 85 cap (with cap badge).
In terms of attire, it strictly follows the prototype to recreate the classic Type 81 double-sided camouflage jacket, which can be worn on both the inside and outside, distinguished by forest green and withered leaf colors; paired with a blue vest and tracksuit. In addition, it is equipped with Type 85 trousers, Type 65 puttees, boots, and a belt, and other detailed accessories to make the overall figure more complete and vivid.
Particularly eye-catching in the tactical equipment is the multi-purpose Type 69 RPG vest and Type 81 chest rig, both of which are newly made according to precise proportions. The multi-purpose Type 69 rocket launcher vest is specially designed for the action figure, capable of ingeniously carrying key accessories such as the Type 69 rocket launcher and the Type 69 85mm rocket; while the Type 81 chest rig is strictly restored according to the prototype, capable of holding multiple magazines and grenades and other tactical equipment.
In terms of action figure weapon accessories, the Type 69 40mm rocket launcher, Type 81-1 automatic rifle, and Type 65 reconnaissance dagger have been carefully crafted with new molds; it is particularly worth mentioning that the Type 69 40mm rocket launcher also comes with a transparent column effect part for launching and a combination of rocket launcher wing accessories, which can reproduce the shocking scene when launching, and the safety pin on the rocket is also designed to be removable. The Type 81-1 automatic rifle introduced this time innovatively uses metal sheet for some key parts, and has achieved a brand-new folding function in the buttstock design.
