Inspired by IWM photo collections IWM NA675 and nexts, IWM E21338 and nexts, IWM E20084 and some others.
After read Special Forces in the Desert War 1940-1943 by The National Archives, The Wartime Jeep in British Servie and surf the web searching and reading info about LRDG and SAS operations, I wish use last jeep released by DML to convert in one of this.
Jeep: SAS 4x4 Desert raider weathered
Figures: driver, CH Fritz Moosmuller HS, leather jerkin, Army sweater, gloves, gutrah and ogal, BD trousers and chapplies
gunner, DML Eddie Mac HS, BD uniform, hebron coat purchased locally, goggles, ammunition boots and hat.
This jeep was loaded with all needed for a some days patrol, 20 jerrycans for fuel and water (mix of allied and german), a british flimsie, a twin Vickers, a single Vickers, bags with equipment and ready to bring if they need abandon the vehicle, two sand mats for when vehicle was stuck, land mines, Mills bombs, maps and a compass.Added more wheels.
I'm in process to add at this vehicle a Bagnold sun compass, but not finished at time.
