美國海軍河流部隊 RIVRON

河流部隊(Riverine Squadron, RIVRON)是美國海軍之海軍遠征戰鬥司令(Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, NECC)的一部分. 根據海軍說法:" 海軍河流部隊主要任務是在沿河或其他合適地區提供海事防衛任務和戰區防衛任務. 這部隊有能力對敵方施以正面火力壓制或定點火力支援. 它可以與其他部隊在同一戰場上合作來達到在作戰宗旨, 戰術, 技巧, 程序, 指揮, 控制, 通信, 電算系統, 情報, 監視和偵查的共識.在2008年已有3個河流部隊服役中, 全隶屬於河流作戰群(Riverine Group 1, RIVGRU 1), 駐紮在Norfolk, Virginia. RIVRON 1於2007年4月部署在伊拉克, 隨後被RIVRON 2在同年10月所代替. FORT KNOX, Ky. (Aug. 24, 2007) – A Special Operations Craft Riverine (SOC-R) cruises along the Salt River during live fire training.
