Jyushin Thunder Liger : a living legend and role model to many of today’s wrestlers. He made his first appearance in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as Liger in 1989, at the first ever wrestling event inside the Tokyo Dome. Displaying strength usually seen in heavyweight contenders, Liger holds the record for most IWGP Jr. Heavyweight titles won at 11. His iconic outfit and techniques have inspired many around the world and impacted the way pro-wrestling has evolved to this day. In 2019, after a 30 year legacy, Liger announced his retirement in the same arena that he debuted in- the Tokyo Dome- in January 2020.

獣神サンダー・ライガー選手は1989年4月24日の東京ドーム大会でデビュー、新日本プロレスのトップ選手としてジュニアヘビー級部門を牽引、また新日本プロレスの至宝であるIWGPジュニアヘビー級王座に11回君臨、日本マット界にジュニア黄金時代を作り、また米国のWCWやWWEにも参戦、名実ともに世界最高峰のレスラーとなる。ジュニアヘビー級レスラーの偉大な象徴である獣神サンダー・ライガー選手は2020年1月の東京ドーム大会で世界各国の多くのファンに惜しまれつつ引退する。
