The Marvel Studios Fine Art Print collection celebrates the legacy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, showcasing official concept art and illustrated keyframes created by celebrated artists who are responsible for designing the entire look and feel of Marvel’s immensely successful films.
“The flying Iron Man image came about from a conversation Jon and I had after he saw a comic cover I did of Iron Man flying with military jets,” explains Marvel Concept Artist Adi Granov. “There was no script at the time, so I just painted a nice shot of Iron Man, and then the whole sequence in the film was written around that.”
The Iron Man Mark III Fine Art Print by Adi Granov takes to the skies, conceptualizing an iconic action sequence from Iron Man (2008). Flanked by military jets, Tony Stark must put his red and gold Mark III suit to the test as he narrowly avoids being taken out of the skies. This keyframe moment captures the high-octane energy of Iron Man in flight, ready to take on the world and prove himself an incredible hero.

About the Artist:
Adi works as an illustrator and designer primarily for Marvel. His most notable works include the Iron Man: Extremis series, written by Warren Ellis, and his role as a conceptual designer and illustrator on the Iron Man films and the Avengers. He worked on key character designs and created keyframe illustrations for the action sequences. For comic work, he is currently under an exclusive contract with Marvel and has produced covers for multiple series over the last few years, as well as a number of short interior stories.
Adi currently lives in England with his wife, Tamsin, and their two very weird cats. He likes aeroplanes, trains, and cars, and his main hobby is working on his 1967 Lotus Elan. He also enjoys beekeeping.
