Step 1.
Cut a square about 10cm x 10cm ( precision is not crucial at this point),
* note the arrow it determines the which direction is the verticle axis of the canvas.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920111310884.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 2.
Paint large portion of the square a light tan color.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920113343815.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 3.
Add some green blotches.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920115674320.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 4.
Paint on the black overprint try to get to look something like the black pattern on planetree, again precision is not crucial but it should look similar to a plane tree overprint.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920122262562.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 5.
Begin removing strand of fiber perpendicular to the arrow you should be left with a row of fibers that go in the direction of the arrow. Remove enough rows of fiber so you are about 1cm into the painted camo.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920124172532.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 6.
Lay a piece of athletic tape across the verticle run fibers leaving a gap of about 2mm from the edge of the tape to the next row of horizontal fibers to be removed. The tape keeps the vertical strand neat and orderly while you remove the remaining strands.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/20053192013146706.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 7.
Remove row of fibers until you have a sort of screen about 20-25mm running between the edge of the tape and the nest row of horizontal fibers. This establishes the top edge of the horizontal band in the lower part of the veil.
( Note the measurements are not exact I usually try to tailor this to the face of the figure so that the bottom edge of the horizontal band in the finished veil is near the figure旧 chin/mouth this is not an exact science.)
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920131939323.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 8.
Trim the bottom edge of the veil so that about 15mm of material remains. Begin removing rows of fibers and continue unitl you have a horizontal band of canvas about 4mm wide
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920133536230.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 9.
Now trim the tape unitl you have about 4mmof tape. <img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920135329194.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
Step 10.
Now lay anew piece of athletic tape about 150mmlong over the existing piece be sure to align the edges.
<img src="attachments/dvbbs/200531920141535137.gif" border="0" onclick="zoom(this)" onload="if(this.width>document.body.clientWidth*0.5) {this.resized=true;this.width=document.body.clientWidth*0.5;this.style.cursor='pointer';} else {this.onclick=null}" alt="" />
