The expansive air and ground training areas in Alaska provide an excellent environment for conducting fully integrated, large -scale training.

Northern Edge is designed to be an air-centric exercise to train units in joint air operations tactics and command and control procedures.

This exercise provides the opportunity to hone and test future applications of combat operations and weapon capabilities.
