CAMP TAJI, Iraq (May 28, 2008) - Staff Sgt. Chad Ryan, a Sterling, Ill., native, gives additional training on the M-16 rifle May 19 with an Iraqi army soldier from the 2nd battalion, 31st brigade, 8th Iraqi army division, to ensure his tactical knowledge of the weapon is passed on to the IA soldier. The IA and Soldiers from1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment “Wolfhounds,” 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, work together to ensure the safety and security of the Taji Qada, northwest of Baghdad. Nicholas Cantrell, who hails from Topeka, Kan., helps an Iraqi shop owner in Jamilla Market in the Sadr City district of Baghdad fill out a micro-grant application May 29. Business owners trying to get their businesses started again after nearly two months of intense fighting in Sadr City are eligible for grants up to $2,500 from coalition forces.
