越戰Huey Door Gunner

Been working on this guy for a while, too long really. I finally got the courage to do the helmet the way I wanted. I doubt many gunners would have the guts to show such a gawdy thing in combat but I wanted this guy to be a real Redneck and proud of it, no offense meant!

I started out with a clone body I built. The head is a Hot Toys job I believe and looks like Keano Reeves to me. The helmet is Hasbro that has been painted. I did the visor cover in white, masked off the stripes, painted with red transparent acrylic, masked off the red, white stripes and stars to show the blue stripes, painted the blue stripes with transparent blue acrylic, peeled the tape off and touched up whatever needed it. That took a while and was my first "custom" paint job of this magnitude.
The Flak Jacket is Toy Soldier as are the boots. The uniform is dragon and I think the shoulder holster came from Hasbro as well.
He'll be mounted on the Hasbro Door Gunner display piece once I have time to get the gun mount squared away. I think I may modify it to mount on the wall. He would look good blasting away at the ground.
